MANKOWSKI James Jim Chester James Jim Chester Mankowski, age 70, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010, in his home surrounded by his loving family. James was born on September 19, 1940, in Toledo to Chester and Violet Dombrowski Mankowski. He attended Woodward High School and was a member of the National Guard from 1963-1967. He was a Catholic, but most of all a believer. James loved playing golf, fishing and attending his sons and grandchildrens school functions, plays, musicals and sporting events. He was a hockey dad for 35 years. James was as a lithographer at LBA Custom Printing for 30+ years and was very proud of his work. He never missed a single day of work. In addition to his loving wife of 44 years, Jennifer Lee Silver, James is survived by his sons, Michael Mankowski and Kevin Michele Mankowski; his grandchildren Tara, Jocelyn, Reid, Drew, Wesley and Justin; his brothers-in-law, Gene Silver and Rob Silver; his sister-in-law, Sandy Mankowski; and his nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother Martin. This man, husband, father, friend and dzia dzia will be forever in our hearts. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday from 2-9pm in Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10am and continue at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
