James Edward Lykins, age 79, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at his home in Perrysburg. Jim was born October 21, 1936 to Dewey and Evelyn Lykins in Peoria, IL. He was a 1955 graduate of DeVilbiss High School. A veteran of the US Marine Corp, Jim was a member of the Marine Corp League, the Marine Corp Association, the Marine Corp Night Fighters, and the American Legion. He was a sheriffs deputy and a bail bondsman. Jim liked golfing, fishing, sports, and was a life master bridge player. He especially enjoyed his regular breakfast outings with his many friends. Jim is survived by his sister, Ida (Robert) Cavanaugh; brother, Michael (Brenda) Lykins; brothers-in-law, Jeff Schaedler and Marvin Heady; and many adoring nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Kathleen Schaedler and Barbara Heady. Visitation will be Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 3-7:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where funeral services will be on Friday at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corp League, 2225 Consaul St. Toledo, OH 43605.
