James A. Lowe, 64, of Oak Harbor, passed away unexpectedly early morning, Monday, July 6, 2015. Jim was born December 27, 1950, in Oregon, Ohio, to Isadore A. and Anna Jane (Blair) Lowe. He married Brenda S. Arndt at St. John Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge on March 21, 1980, and she survives. He was a well-known member of the community and enjoyed running Blackberry Corners with his wife. He loved cooking and he and Brenda also catered many events. Jim was employed by R.C. Twining and Associates in Toledo for many years and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Williston. He was an OSU fan and enjoyed bowling and just about any sporting event and also enjoyed farming. In addition to his wife, Brenda, Jim is survived by his children, Michael (Sarah) Lowe, Brian Lowe, Jimmy (Angie) Lowe and Johnny Lowe, grandchild, James Alan Lowe; siblings, Melinda (Drew) Stanford, Peggy (Mike) Sohnly and Tammy (John) Mazur, as well as his nieces and nephews. His parents and father-in-law, Marvin Arndt, preceded him in death. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2015, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2015, at St. John Lutheran Church, Williston, with interment to follow in Allen Township Cemetery. The family has suggested memorial contributions for Jim to go to the Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist. #1, P.O. Box 154, Williston, OH 43468; or to St. John Lutheran Church, 21140 W. Toledo St., P.O. Box 235, Williston, OH 43468.
