James "Jim" Kemper, 75, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Sylvania.
Jim was born on May 28, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio, to George and Pauline (Rectenwald) Kemper and was raised in Perrysburg. He attended Perrysburg High School and later Bowling Green State University. A hardworking and dedicated businessman, Jim owned and operated Bel-Aire Cleaners for 30 years before retiring in 2013.
Jim was well known for his friendly nature and genuine kindness. He enjoyed spending time boating and golfing. He valued the many friendships he cultivated throughout his life. Jim was a loyal and dependable friend.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Karen Kemper; daughter, Kelly (Dan) Meyer; grandchildren, Ella Huntzinger, Logan Meyer, and Josiah Meyer; sister, Sue Hetman; and half-brother, David (Stacy) Kemper.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, George and Pauline Kemper; daughter, Jennifer Simon; and granddaughter, Alle Simon.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home following the visitation at 7:00 p.m. Burial will take place privately at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
