James G. Holcomb

James Gail Holcomb, age 82, passed away September 29, 2016 in Sylvania, Ohio. He was born April 24, 1934 in Detroit to the late Gail and Gertrude (Shields) Holcomb. Jim was a graduate of Mumford (MI) High School and Michigan State University. He served in the United States Air Force and later worked as a manufacturer sales representative. Jim loved to hunt, travel and ski and was an avid MSU football fan and season ticket holder. Surviving are his brother and sister in law, John and Evelyn Holcomb; daughter and son in law, Lynda and Matthew Goldi; son, John Holcomb; nieces, Jo Lynn Holcomb and Melissa and Eric Hillman; grandchildren, Sean, Christopher, Amy and Madeline Goldi. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Monday in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue (west of Corey Road), Toledo. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Silver Lake Cemetery, Wolverine, MI. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
