James Robert Hackworth, 41, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the home of a friend in Oak Harbor, OH. He was born March 16, 1967 in Port Clinton, OH, the son of James Paul Hackworth and Kathleen Laffey Stover. On December 10, 1994 in Sandusky, OH, he married Tracey McNulty and she survives. James graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1985. He worked as a laborer for Sandusky Athol for 20 years. James was an avid reader. He was very passionate about music. He played the bass guitar, wrote songs and poetry. James dearly loved his family. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Wife: Tracey Hackworth of Broadview Heights, OH; Sons: Ian Hackworth and Alex Hackworth both of Broadview Heights, OH; Daughter: Elizabeth Hackworth of Broadview Heights, OH; Mother: Kathleen Edward Stover of Port Clinton, OH; Sister: Amy Murphy of Phoenix, AZ; Brother: Mark Hackworth of Upper Arlington, OH; Step-Sister: Angie Crandall of Gahana, OH; Step-Brother: Mike Stover of Summerville, SC: Aunts, Uncles, Nieces Nephews. James was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents. Visitation will be 12-2PM, Saturday, January 31, 2009 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend Ralph Yass at 2:00PM, Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later date.
