James A. Fox 85 of Curtice, Ohio, was called home to God and family on Saturday August 30, 2025. He was born on April 3, 1940 to Arthur (Cap) and Iva Fox on the Fox Century Family Farm in Curtice Ohio, where he lived and farmed for 65 years.
   
  
James was a 1958 graduate of Clay High School and was an FFA State Farmer.
   
  
Jim was a third-generation school bus driver of 37 years and fifth generation farmer of 65 years, with family roots dating back to the 1850s in north Oregon Township. He enjoyed restoring and displaying his family’s heritage of classic old farm tractors and equipment as a member of several organizations.
   
  
James met his wife of 62 years, Janet Stevens, at a tall person club (the Toledo Tip Toppers) social outing to Cedar Point in 1961. In 1962 he enlisted the Ohio 180th Air National Guard in Swanton, as flight line refueler. He married Janet on July 20, 1963.
James is a retired member of Jerusalem Township Fire Department.
   
  
James is survived by his wife, Janet Fox; son, Steven (Karen) Fox; daughter, Anne (Don) Cook; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fox, Brier Cook, Kelsey (Jake) Wagner, Chris (Becca) Cook; and five great grandchildren.
   
  
Friends may visit at Walker Funeral Homes, 3500 Navarre Ave, Oregon, OH on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will be held privately with his family. Memorial contributions may be made to First St. John Lutheran Church or the Jerusalem Township Fire Department.
