James R. Findlay, Jr.

James Robert Findlay, Jr. age 60 of Toledo passed suddenly on Thursday, December 17, 2015. He was born January 28, 1955 in Toledo to James and Celia Findlay, Sr. He retired from Impact Products and joined Findlay Business Partners. Jim loved music and in the early days was a part-time roadie for a rock band which he enjoyed tremendously and led him to meet his wife of 30 years, Cindy (Konoff) Findlay. An avid NASCAR fan, Jim travelled to many tracks across the nation for the races. Jim loved sports and won the Punt, Pass and Kick trophy from Sylvania High School where he graduated in 1973. Jim loved people, and all animals especially his pets Sadie and Zorro. He also loved spending time at the family farm in Michigan and was a member of Glenwood Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, he is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; brother Jon (Linda) Findlay; sister Sarah (Jack) Hohman; nephew Jonathan Findlay, Jr.; niece Allison (Dan) Stong; and many other nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation and services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Maumee Valley Save-a-Pet 5250 Hill Ave. Toledo, Ohio 43615.
