James Davidson, age 88, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at The Toledo Hospital. James was born May 23, 1926 in Peach Creek, WV to the late Walker and Edna Davidson. He married Anna Atkins on August 18, 1956. James was a veteran of the US Navy serving in WWII. He retired from Dana Corp. in 1988 after 27 years of employment. James was a member of Heritage Church of God in Maumee where he had served as an usher, on church council and on the new church building committee. He personally assisted in the construction of the new kitchen. James loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be remembered as a man with the highest degree of integrity, and as hard-working, selfless, and honest. James is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anna Davidson; son, Roger K. (Donna); daughter, Pamela S. (Scott) Klem; four grandchildren, Ashley (Ian Howard) Davidson, Roger R.J. Davidson, Tyler and Tori Klem; brothers, Glen, Walker, and Alden Davidson; sisters, Glenna and Jennifer; and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Henry and sister, Gladys, also preceded him in death. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
