James F. Crane, 83, of Northwood passed away in the early afternoon on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 24, 1937 to the late Edwin and Lola Crane in Toledo. He married the love of his life, Nancy Crane (nee Bourdo) at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Oregon, OH. He retired from Columbia Gas as Human Resources Manager of Northwest Ohio. Afterward which he traveled, hunted – hunting in Colorado and Wyoming. With Nancy his wife, went cruising, sailed onboard Windjammers. Also traveled to Europe. Above all, he showed his love abundantly to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life for 63 years, his wife, Nancy Crane; daughters, Deb Heilman (Bob) and Tam Eichenberg; his grandchildren, Danielle, Kirk (Judy), Amanda (Kirk), Katelynn (Mark), Rachael (Khristian), R.J., and Jessica; brothers, Tom Crane (Pat) and Dan Crane (Chris); and many special friends. Preceding Jim in death are his son, Keith Edwin Crane and his sister, Donna Crane. A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Ignatius Catholic Church (212 North Stadium Rd., Oregon, OH 43616) on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 11 AM, where the family will greet friends beginning at 10AM. Immediately after Mass internment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Jim’s family has asked that memorial contributions be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Helping Hands of St. Louis, or St. Ignatius Church Building Fund.
