James A. Coressel, Age 61, surrounded by his loving family passed away on Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 at Hospice Of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg after fighting a lengthy battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Denise (Eilerman) Coressel; his daughters Melissa Coressel, and Sarah (Drew) Douget; three grandsons Max, Mason and Camden Douget; Brothers, Wayne (Joyce) Coressel, Keith (Janis) Coressel, and Matt (Stacy) Coressel, and his sisters Denise (Harry) Cramer, and Diane Szabo; a large extended family; and many friends. He was preceded in death his parents, and his brother Joseph “Joe” Coressel. Born and raised in St. Michaels Ridge, Ohio, the son James J. and Virginia (Miller) Coressel, he was a longtime resident of Perrysburg. After graduating Tinora High School in 1972, he attended Northwest Technical College where he earned an associate’s degree in Retail Management. He met his wife Denise and they were married in 1975. James started his career with the Tractor Supply Company working his way up the ladder over many years. His love of computers quickly became apparent and in 1993 he started Coressel’s Service and Consulting, where he could continue on in his passion of technology. In 1998 after great success running his business James went to work for Compass Corporation for Recovery Services in Toledo, running their IT department. He ended his IT career with Rescue Mental Health and Addiction Services of Toledo, after his health started to fail him. He lived a full and active life, he filled his evenings and weekends working on endless home renovations projects just because he loved to do it. His endless energy and vast engineering skills led him to many hobbies. He was an incredible woodworker, handcrafting custom cabinets, jumps for his daughters horse, tack boxes, furniture and more. He had a love for animals, especially his dog, Pepper. His grandsons were the light of his life and he spent most of his time at home enjoying watching them grow and play. His family would like to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the loving care, and respect they showed James in his time of need. They played an invaluable role in his journey home to heaven. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
