James L. Clemens

James L. Clemens, age 76, died August 16, 2016 at Flower Hospital. Jim was born October 20, 1939 in Defiance to the late Lawrence and Lelah (Slough) Clemens. He married Harriet Ladik on Dec. 2, 1961 and she preceded him in death on April 10, 2006. His brother, Phil, is also deceased. Jim worked in printing and mailing at the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University and retired from Ernst and Young in 2005. He was a past president and council member of the Northwest Ohio In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association. In his free time, Jim enjoyed reading, traveling, playing Bridge, gardening, baking and boating. He was a Past Commodore of the Bay View Yacht Club. Surviving are his daughters, Anita (Douglas) Wott and Sonya (Thomas) Inderrieden; granddaughter, Sara Inderrieden; brother, Daniel (Julie) Clemens; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Ladik. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where a Bay View Yacht Club Blue Gavel Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2016 in the funeral home with burial to follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to the Toledo Area Humane Society.
