James A. Caswell

James A. Caswell, 89, of Millbury, Ohio, died in his home on Sunday, October 8, 2017. He was born January 21, 1928, in Millbury, to John M. and Claria M. (Volstein) Caswell. On July 29, 1945, in Millbury he married Kathleen M. Neff and she preceded him in death May 11, 2011. James received his bachelors degree in education and was a professor at many schools including high school in Cincinnati, Ohio, Anthony Wayne High School, Monroe Community College, Bowling Green State University, University of Toledo and Owens Community College. He served in the Navy during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post #279 in Elmore, Ohio. James played guitar and years ago repaired televisions. He built a barn and two homes on his property in Millbury. James was a mans man, not depending on others. He is survived by his daughters, Marsha Rider and Joyce Woods, grandchildren, Amanda Rider and Daniel Caruso, and great grandchildren, Damohn Caruso and Josephine Caruso. His parents, wife, and brother, Marshall Caswell, preceded him in death. There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 16, 2017, in Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury. Memorials for James may be given to the donors choice. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory of Genoa has assisted with arrangements.
