James E. Carter, Sr.

James E. Carter, Sr., 82, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022.  He was born in Millfield, Ohio on August 16, 1940, to John and Dosha (Gill) Carter.  Jim met the love of his life, Linda M. (Miner), and on May 25, 2001, they were married in Millbury, Ohio.

Jim owned and operated Carter Piano & Organ Movers for many years, retiring in 2003.  He was and expert at his craft and moved pianos & organs for many local venues and visiting stars, including the renowned artist Liberace.  Jim was very handy and loved working with wood, creating many lawn ornaments and Christmas decorations.  He enjoyed camping and fishing at Hocking Hills and Old Man’s Cave.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather that will be missed.

Jim is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Linda, children, Candy Carter, Becky Cousino, Brenda Hartranft, James Carter, Jr., William Reetz, Millie Fouty, James Reetz, and Lori Reetz, 22 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and siblings, Don, Butch, Rick, Mike, and Phil Carter.  He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Paula Giffin, sister, Ola Wojokowski, brothers, Bill, Kenny, and Bob Carter, and son-in-law, Rick Cousino.
