James H. Black

James H. Scooter Black, 65, of Maumee, OH passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Swan Pointe Care Center after a long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born September 21, 1942 in Port Clinton, OH to Joseph Junior and Grace Ellen Beers Black. Jim was an US Army veteran. He sold and serviced fire extinguishers for Fyr-Fyter Sales and Service for 10 years and was a Truck Driver for the Ohio-Michigan Paper Company for 5 years. Jim was also an avid postcard collector. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Diane Hetherwick Black whom he married January 28, 2005; son, Keith Black; 2 grandchildren; sisters, Ginny Dan Pfaff and Norma Merrit Lighthall. Family and friends may visit Monday from 4-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH. Services and burial will be private.
