James H. Beshalske, 86, of Genoa, died Tuesday morning, March 11, 2008, in the Genoa Care Center. Jim was born February 8, 1922, in Elliston, Ohio, to Paul and Olga Kontak Beshalske. On May 17, 1947, in Genoa he married Louise M. Reinbolt and she preceded him in death December 9, 1997. For 34 years he worked as a plant operator at Sun Oil retiring in 1982. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Jims many hobbies included playing golf and cards and refinishing furniture. Surviving Jim are his children, James Gloria T. Beshalske of Cincinnati, Thomas Jackie P. Beshalske of Maumee, Robert Susan C. Beshalske of Granite Bay, CA, Michael Alma G. Beshalske of Temperance, MI, Mary Jo Mark A. Weyandt of Williston, Ann Marie Don Maze of Walbridge and Susan Marie David Brown of Genoa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, brother, Donald Beshalske of Graytown, and sisters, Ruth Slovak of Oregon, Betty Brown of Elliston and Joanne Sorg of Oak Harbor. His parents and brother, William Beshalske, preceded him in death. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Genoa, with the scripture service at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2008; interment with military graveside services will follow in Clay Township Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials for Jim to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
