James F. Bean, 63 of Sylvania, OH, passed away surrounded by his family and loved ones on October 11th, 2016. James was born in Toledo, OH to Delbert and Katherine Bean (Steinmiller) on August 28th, 1953. He was a respiratory therapist in Northwest Ohio for over 30 years, and was well respected by his colleagues as a teacher and clinician. His most recent position was at HCR Manorcare of Waterville as the Director of Respiratory Care. To commemorate his professional contributions, HCR Manorcare recently dedicated the pulmonary care wing in his honor. His passions included Detroit Tigers baseball, Notre Dame Football, golfing, and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Susan Southward-Bean, his daughters, Emily Bean (Jason Hallaman) and Alison Southward (Jennifer Morgan), his sisters, Pamela Mull (Daniel), Amy Gardner (Amber), and Brittany Franchetti (Joshua), his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Amy and Jeffrey Brezinski, his mother-in-law Margie Kusian, and many loved ones.
