James J Banas

James J. Banas Sr., age 82, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 18, 1934 in Toledo to Frank and Teesa Banas. James retired from Ford Stamping in Maumee, Ohio. He loved to fishing, walking his dog Oreo, and doing charity auctions for the Sunshine Childrens Home. James is survived by his wife, Arlene; children, Tim(Kim), Tom, Bill(Sherrie), Ken, Jim Jr., Cindy(Tony) Arvanitis, and Brian(Sue); 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ron and grandson, Michael. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the mausoleum in Resurrection Cemetery, 5725 Hill Avenue, Toledo, Ohio.
