James F. Allen

James F. Captain Jim Allen, 83, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, October 31, 2011, at Edgewood Manor Care Center, Port Clinton. Jim had completed his lifes journey back to his beloved wife, Nancy. Jim was born August 3, 1928 in Wayne, OH, the son of Don and Francis Allen. Jim served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. On February 2, 1952 in Toledo, he married Nancy Ann Farmer. They had been married 56 years when she passed away August 28, 2008. Jim worked for more than 50 years for the Bostwick-Braun Company, Toledo where he was a salesman before retiring as sales manager. Survivors include his children: Cindi Smith and Tony Mary Allen both of Hilliard, OH, Timothy F. Jeni Allen of Port Clinton, grandchildren: D. J. Kerry Smith, Amanda Smith, Scott Heather Smith, Donny Shannon Smith, Kristen Eric Bowen Adams and James Allen; 10 Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Sue Arnholter; many loving Nieces and Nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Nancy, brother: Bob Allen and Son-in-law: Dave Smith. A Celebration of Jims life will be held 1-4PM, Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 109 E Perry St, Port Clinton. Private interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery.
