James Billy-Bruce Adams

James Billy-Bruce Adams, age 79, of Maumee passed away on September 8, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio from injuries sustained in a fall. He was born on July 5, 1939 to Jesse and Evia Adams in Athens, Alabama. James served in the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class. He retired in 1993 from Toledo Fire Department after 29 years. James loved to be outdoors, walking at Sidecut Park, cooking his moms recipes, and spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia; children, Greg (Mignon) Adams of Maumee, Shelly (Greg) Gilbert of Findlay, Brett (Cynthia) Adams of Maumee; grandchildren, Madison Jimison, Blake Adams, Eric Gilbert, Erin Gilbert, Adam Gilbert, Jessica (Chris) Keeler, Ashley (Todd) Jones, Tyler Adams; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Jess (Norma) and Jeff (Mary). A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 2-6 P.M. with Last Alarm Services at 5:30 P.M. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Perrysburg Campus of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their fantastic care.
