Jaleia Lyana Marie Ulch

Born February 28, 2025 – Gained her wings July 13, 2025.

Jaleia was born at 5:58 AM on February 28th at St. Vincent Hospital, weighing a healthy 7 pounds and 9 ounces. She was the beloved daughter of Zawadi and Jonathan, the only daughter to Zawadi, and the only child to Jonathan. She also had two big brothers who loved her dearly.

From the moment she arrived, Jaleia was perfect. Her beauty was something beyond words—a head full of dark, silky hair and a smile so bright it could light up the darkest room. Her laughter, her coos, her joy—it was as if she had known this world before, and had returned just to share a little of that light with all of us.

Jaleia shared an unbreakable bond with her mom,Zawadi—they were more than mother and daughter; they were best friends. Zawadi dressed her up every day, gently brushed her hair, and took her everywhere she went. Wherever Zawadi was, there was Jaleia—side by side, inseparable.

She was also a true Daddy’s girl. She would wait up until her dad, Jonathan, got home just to be outside with him. She refused to sleep before 5 a.m., knowing her daddy would soon be there. She would then nap peacefully with her mother during the day—this was her little routine, and she loved it.

A visitation will be held at Walker Funeral Home (5155 W. Sylvania Ave.) on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 9 am-11 am with a service beginning at 11 pm. Interment will follow at the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.

She is, and always will be, deeply loved and missed—especially by her parents, who gave her all the love, care, and joy a child could ever hope for.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a gift to help cover her funeral services.
