Jacques Roger Everhart, age 100, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026, at The Waterford at Levis Commons. Born on April 16, 1926, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, Jack was the son of George G. and Renee C. (Barbey) Everhart.
As a trumpet player in his high school band, he was often called upon to play Taps in honor of fallen soldiers. He also took flying lessons as a teenager before enlisting in the military at just 17 years old. Jacques proudly served his country during World War II as a cadet in the Army Air Corps, where he was selected for pilot training. Following his honorable discharge in November 1945, he returned home and attended The Ohio State University. After graduating, he pursued a variety of career opportunities before embarking on a distinguished career with AAA, where he ultimately served as President of Northwest Ohio AAA until his retirement.
Retirement allowed Jacques to pursue his passions. He loved fishing, traveling, and exploring the open road in his RV. He traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada, attending RV rallies. Among his many adventures, Jacques drove to Alaska four times and completed the remarkable journey from Key West, Florida, to the Arctic Ocean. A gifted storyteller, he delighted family and friends by sharing countless experiences and adventures.
