Jacquelyn T. Vermett, age 79, of Toledo, died peacefully in her home on July 26, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born Dec. 10, 1935 in Erie, MI to the late Gilbert William and Vida Emily (Bradford) Vermett. A graduate of Oregon Clay High School, Jackie worked in sales with several area companies including John Hancock, Olan Mills and New York Life. Artistic by nature, she studied music for 10 years and was an accomplished musician. Jackie also danced with the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Toledo and exercised her love of swimming as a life guard and synchronized swimmer. She also enjoyed playing Bridge and traveling, having visited Belize, the Caribbean Islands, St. Thomas and Venezuela. She was a member of Sylvania Country Club. Jackie found her greatest joy in sharing time with her beloved children and grandchildren, who were the most important part of her life. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael B. (Sansa) and Timothy J. (Sharon) Warrick, and Michelle H. (David) Schmid; grandchildren, Ariel (Christopher) Clouse, Hannah, Levia, Semira, Talya and Paul Warrick, Chloe and Emma Schmid; and great grandchildren, Zaine and Elijah. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Catherine and Lorraine Wells and brother Leo Vermett. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the Chapel of Peace at Toledo Memorial Park. The Walker Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Guardian Angels or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
