Jacqueline L Siefke

March 7, 1923 — January 15, 2018

Jacqueline LaVerne Siefke (nee Fitterer), 94, passed to her Eternal Life on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio following complications associated with pneumonia. She was the daughter of Charles and Beatrice (nee Daggon) Fitterer, born in Toledo, OH on March 7, 1923. Known to family by the nickname of AJ, she married Thomas D. Siefke on July 16, 1938. They would have celebrated their 80th Wedding Anniversary July of this year. Growing up on the east side, Jackie resided in Toledo, OH her entire life. Her and husband, Tom (also known by his nickname UT) enjoyed spending the Winter months at their lovely condominium in Royal Palm Beach, FL after his retirement from Ohio Bell/ATT in 1979 with 31 years of service. There, they found many friends and the door was always open to family and visitors. Jackie was known for her beauty inside and out. She defined and lived by the saying the glass is half FULL in all situations. Early in their marriage, Jackie worked at the Lion Store both downtown Toledo and at Westgate Shopping Center in West Toledo. Her hobbies included bowling where she competed in both Womens and Ma Pa Leagues over the years. Out-of-town tournaments took her and sister, Joanne and teammates on the road for competitions. She did join Tom, always an avid golfer, in rounds of golf at times. Well into their 70s, Jackie and Tom could be seen riding around Royal Palm Beach on their bicycles as their way to keep in shape and be physically active. She was also known to shoot a mean game of pool. Jackie is survived by husband, Tom; daughter, Sharon Prince-Dann (Nick), Westerville, OH; grandson, Anthony Prince (Regina) and her great-grandchildren, Caiden and Jade Prince, Columbus, OH; step-granddaughters, Katarina Dann, Bryan, OH and Kristina Dann and step-granddaughter, Vivian Lassiter, McClure, OH; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Robert Stowe, Pittsfield, MA; nieces and nephew, Linda and Fritz Kalmbach, Northwood, OH; LuAnne Adams Hodges, Los Angeles, CA; several great and great-great nieces and nephews as well as some wonderful neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Thomas Siefke; siblings, Charles Fitterer, Norma Roslin, Elaine Wharton, and Joanne Adams-Stevenson. Private graveside services will be held at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest with their son, Tom. Online condolences may be placed at walkerfuneralhomes.com
