Jacqueline Divine Keim

Jan 20, 1938 — Jul 23, 2026

With hearts full of love and remembrance, we announce the peaceful passing of Jacqueline D. Keim on July 23, 2026. Born on January 20, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, Jacqueline lived a life marked by love, laughter, and unwavering strength. She passed away at home, joining her beloved husband, Jerry Lee Keim (deceased Nov 2002), and dear son, Gregg Keim (Feb 2015), after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jacqueline was the cherished daughter of Aloysius Joseph Mallette and Mabel B. Dalley. She leaves behind a tapestry of family who continue to celebrate her legacy. Her loving daughter, Kelly Johnson, and her husband, Stephen, along with her treasured grandchildren, Kristina Boudreau (husband Michel) and Derek Johnson (wife Gabriella), carry forward her spirit of joy and resilience. Jacqueline was also the proud great-grandmother to four beautiful great-grandchildren: Lucas, Isabelle, Santina, and Francesca. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Mallette, and his family, as well as sister-in-law, Janet Keim and nephew, Michael Keim.

In 1960, Jacqueline graduated from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, where she was a proud member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. Her early career saw her nurturing young minds as an elementary school teacher in Kalamazoo from 1961 to 1963, before she dedicated herself fully to her family as a homemaker.

A resident of Toledo, Ohio since 1982, Jacqueline enriched the lives of many around her. Her vibrant personality illuminated every room she entered, and she was known for her infectious smile and positive outlook, even in the face of life's challenges. She was a devoted member of Christ the King since 1982, where she lent her caring spirit to Martha's Meals funeral luncheons.

Jacqueline's social nature was evident in her love for gatherings, whether it was with her exercise groups, meeting her friends for lunch, her fellow bowlers and golfers in the Monroe Acres Ladies Bowling League and Heatherettes Golf League and numerous bus trips. Right up until last year, she was swinging her golf clubs and sharing laughter with friends on the course.

Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the friends, neighbors, and healthcare providers, including the dedicated teams at the Dana Center, Heartland Hospice, and Amada Home Care, who supported Jacqueline with compassion and kindness during her illness.

There will be a celebration of Jacqueline's life with a viewing from 4 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday August 4, 2026, at Walker Funeral Home, (5155 W. Sylvania Ave.). The Funeral Mass will be at Christ the King Catholic Church at 10:30 am Wednesday, August 5, 2026, (4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, Ohio 43623) preceded by visitation from 9:30 am -10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Jacqueline's memory to Christ the King Church, Toledo, Ohio, or the Toledo Zoo.

Jacqueline's legacy of love, friendship, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends.
