Jacqueline Jackie Ellis, 78, of Perrysburg, Ohio, died early Wednesday, December 15, 2010, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born November 19, 1932, in Columbus, Ohio, to David E. and Cecelia Mattox Evans. On October 17, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio, she married John Jack J. Ellis, who preceded her in death April 19, 2003. Jackie worked for 18 years as a secretary for the Ohio Education Association in Toledo. She was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg. Jackie loved her family and animals. She enjoyed working around her home, decorating and making ceramics. Over the years Jackie and her husband would build homes, live in them and then move on to the next project. Jackie is survived by her daughter, Mandy Steve Woodbury of Walbridge, grandson, Christopher Woodbury of Marysville, OH, granddaughter, Shannon Woodbury of Canal Winchester, OH, her sister, Delores St. John of Waterville, niece, Cindy Jacob of Toledo and her faithful companion, Sheba. Her parents, husband, and son, Matthew Ellis, preceded her in death. There will be no visitation or services. The family has suggested memorials for Jackie to the Wood County Humane Society, 801 VanCamp Rd., Bowling Green, OH 43402-9332. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements.
