Jacob R. Pfc Wilkes

Jacob R. Wilkes, 20, of Oregon Ohio, passed away March 3, 2018. Jacob was born on December 10, 1997 to John Wilkes and Penny Dorner in Toledo, Ohio. Jacob was an ambitious, kind and loving young man who enjoyed creating and building things. He loved to work on cars, shoot guns, play hockey and listen to his favorite band, the Beatles. Those who knew him would describe him as a great friend and someone devoted to his family. After graduation, Jacob joined the United States Army as a mechanic and was proud to serve his country. He is survived by his father, John Wilkes; mother, Penny (Kevin) Dorner; sister, Brook Wilkes; nephew, Vinny; brother, Jeremy (Amber Breault-Albain) Wilkes; grandparents, Jeff (Sandy) Clark, Rupert Wilkes; great grandparents, Clara Cousino, Shirley Clark; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will take place at Hoeflinger-Shank Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, OH on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
