Bryan Jackson Jack DeWitt Jackson DeWitt Bryan, age 90, passed away May 22, 2008 at his home in Toledo, OH. Born on August 10, 1917 to Chester and Lucy Bryan in Battle Ground, IN, Jackson graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as a service manager for Perfect Circle Piston Ring, Corp. in LaFayette, IN before moving to Toledo in 1968 with his wife Evadine. After taking a few years to travel, Jackson and Evadine began a successful automotive accessories company called TRIMCO where they worked side by side until retiring in 1986. Jackson was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Toledo Rotary, The Toledo Club, Highland Meadows Golf Club, the Society of Automotive Engineers, where he served as past-president, The Masons, and Zenobia Shrine. He was a member and past-president of the Sylvania Chamber of Commerce and was a former member of Hartley Hills Country Club in Hagerstown, IN. Along with traveling with his wife, Jackson also enjoyed golf, bridge, gardening, woodworking, glee club and basketball. Jackson was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Evadine; and sister, Velma Hendrickson. He is survived by his sisters, Ruth Bryan and Marjorie Ferguson; and his beloved calico cat, Kitty. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. with services at 11:00am on Friday at Christ Presbyterian Church, 4225 Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH. Interment will be held Saturday in Washington Park North Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church.
