Jack Olen Young

Jack Olen Young, 75 of Sandusky, OH, and formerly of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Monday, February 08, 2016 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky, OH. Jack was born on December 27, 1940 in Greenville, OH. He worked at Kroger’s in Port Clinton and Oregon. Jack owned the ABC Market from 1974 until 1985. He had a fantastic sense of humor. Jack was a faithful blood donor throughout his life. He loved bowling and classic cars. For many years Jack ran the Saturday Junior Bowling League at Harbor Lanes in Port Clinton and was a bowling coach for Special Olympics. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are: Children: Joanne Marie (Matt) Skinner-Molnar, Todd Olen (Kimberly) Young, Angela Sue Young, Charles Patrick Young and Heather Jo (David) Mischler; Grandchildren: Molly Collins, Amanda Molnar, Nick Molnar, Christina (Fritz) Below, Nathaniel (Jackie) Young, Elizabeth Young, Benjamin Young, Trisha (Jeffrey) Gough, Brittany Dziak, Allison Dziak, Jacquelyn Young, Rachel Young, Jacob Mischler and Joshua Mischler; 11 Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Karen (Robin) Schweigert; Niece: Rebecca (Gary) James and 2 Great-Nieces. Jack was preceded in death by his parents: June (Smith) Cook and Ralph Young. Private Graveside services will be held. Memorial donations in memory of Jack may be given to Special Olympics, the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
