Jack E. Irwin, 73, of Sun City Center, Fla. and formerly of Sandusky, Ohio, passed away May 22, 2011. He was born in Bluffton, Ohio and served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Forrestal. He graduated from Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He retired from Columbia Gas after 32 years of service as director of operations. He was an avid sailor and fisherman. Jack was preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert and James Irwin and by his sister, Mary Dilts. Survivors includes his wife of 53 years, Marian, two sons, Michael Irwin and Scott Irwin, three grandchildren, Michael, William and Thomas Irwin, his brother, R.R. Irwin and his sister, Edna Schick. Family and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 4 pm on Friday, June 24 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. concluded with memorial services to celebrate Jacks life at 4:00 pm.
