Jack Howell

Jack Howell, 67, of Port Clinton, passed away, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. He was born August 10, 1947 in Port Clinton, the son of Omer F. and Frieda (Hansen) Howell. On June 15, 1968 at St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH, he married Patricia Mullins and she survives. Jack worked as a pipefitter for the Ford Motor Co. retiring in 2007 after 30 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1718, Moose Lodge #1610 and an associate member of the V.F.W. Homer D. Gardner Post #2480. Jack was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. He was a lifelong Detroit Tigers Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include: Loving Wife of 46 years: Patricia Howell; Mother: Frieda Howell; Son: Marc (Andrea) Howell; Daughter: Sarah (Lee) Horne; 5 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; Brother: Kenneth (Viola) Howell and Sister: Rosan Allen. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Omer F. Howell. Friends may call from 2-8pm, Sunday, October 19, 2014 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. James Lehman at 11:00am, Monday, October 20, 2014 in the funeral home. Burial will be in LaCarpe Cemetery, Lacarne, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Jack may be given to St. John Lutheran Church.
