Jack A. Howard

Jack A. Howard, age 67, of Maumee, Ohio died Friday, April 6, 2012 at Toledo Hospital. He was born July 15, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to Byron and Betty (Scott) Howard and on February 25, 1965 he married Jane Wilder. Jack was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for 45 years in the Toledo area having been employed by Ed Kelly and Sons and later retiring in 2005 from Crestline Paving after 21 years of service. He was a member of the White Pines Golf Course and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #18 AFL-CIO. Jack enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting but most importantly he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Jane M. Howard; daughter, Joni H. (Evan) Schumann; son, Russell B. (Candice) Howard; grandchildren, Carter and Carson Schumann as well as Garrett, Cole and Cade Howard; brothers, Richard Howard, James (Diane) Howard and Robert (Donna) Howard; sisters, Charlene (Carroll) Keifer, Rebecca (Dave) Grochowski, Deborah (William) Burt, Laura Howard, Mary Howard and Joyce (Greg) Shank; mother-in-law, Opal Wilder as well as his nephew, Robert (Beth) Simon. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Betty as well as his brother, Tom. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2-9 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 10:30 A.M.
