Jack William Easton

Jack William Easton, age 90, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on September 20, 1933, in Port Clinton, Ohio to Orville and Alice (Dunkle) Easton. On August 13, 1960, he married Betty Gulau at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lakeside-Marblehead, and she survives.

Jack was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served from 1953-1957. He taught math and drivers training for 28 years for the Port Clinton City Schools and also managed the Lakeside Campground for 23 years. Jack was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lakeside-Marblehead, where he previously served on church council, and enjoyed traveling and playing Bingo.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty; grandchildren, Justin (Marlana) and Michelle Monak; sister, Beverly Peters and son-in-law, Dan Monak. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Monak and his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 6, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 541 Church Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio 43440. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Catawba Island Fire Department or Danbury Senior Center.
