Jack Ellsworth Craig Sr., age 88, of Toledo, Ohio died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Ridgewood Manor. He was born October 17, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio to Pete and Ella (Scalise) Craig. Jack proudly served his country in the Marine Corps during World War II. Following the war, he met and married Eleanor V. Hernacki and they were together for 67 years. He was a Counterman for over 30 years with Appliance Parts Supply Co. and was a member of the Lou Diamond Detachment 272 Marine Corps League. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor V. Craig; sons, Dennis M. (Lola) Craig and Kelly E. (Linda) Craig; daughter, Kathleen Holt; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Peter Craig; sister, Barbara (Richard) Trychel; son-in- law; Frank Holt; daughter-in-law, Harriet Craig as well as his grandson, Michael, who he and Eleanor raised following the death of their son, Jack E. Craig Jr. Jack was also preceded in death by his sister, Billie Delbrocco and Madge Williams. Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 2-9 P.M. at Neville Funeral Home, Reynolds Corners Chapel, 5052 Dorr Street, Toledo Ohio 43615 (419-535-0951) where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s name to either the American Cancer Society or to Southern Care Hospice.
