J. Misha Raker

J. Misha Raker ,68, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Wauseon, OH to Lloyd and Barbara (Brown) Raker on January 27, 1956. Misha proudly served in the U.S. Army as a journalist for four years. As an animal lover, Misha spent a lot of her time caring for her furry companions. She was an avid reader and creative soul. Throughout her illness, Misha was a warrior; she never complained or showed weakness. In honor of her giving nature, after Misha’s passing, she donated her eyes in hopes of helping others read.

Misha is survived by Tammy Lehnert; Sandra Tapley; Tina Underwood; Linda (Steve) Bechstein; Kristopher Underwood; Jillian and Chris Bozarth; James, Mikal, and Zachary Bozarth; and many other extended family members and friends.

Friends and family may gather on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623, where a Funeral Service will begin at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to a local animal shelter.
