J. Scott Campbell

J. SCOTT CAMPBELL John Scott Campbell, 58, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee, Ohio. He was born the oldest of four children on July 25, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio to John and Joanne (Herron) Campbell. On October 6, 1989 he married Kathy Schroeder. He attended Waite High School and later moved to Genoa and graduated from Genoa Area High School in 1971. Scott was employed as a boilermaker Union # 85 and retired July 29, 2011. Scott enjoyed camping and traveling, but most of all he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with his wife, across country. He also was a H.O.G. member. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy; mother, Joanne Campbell; sister, Kim (Kevin) Youster, brothers, Steve (Karen), Rick (Anne); aunts, uncles, numerous nieces and nephews. Scott was preceded in death his father, grandparents and aunts and uncles. Friends will be received Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 2-9 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 11 A.M. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. “My life was not journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body-but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW-What a Ride!”
