Ivana M. Hall

Ivana M. Hall, 84, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, after a very short illness. Ivana was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on November 15, 1940, to Ivan J. and Marie C. (Reuman) Montrie. Her mother passed away when she was very young and she was raised by her father and stepmother, Doris E. (Meek) Reuman. Ivana graduated from Libby High School and later worked in sales with Think Fun and as a District Manager for Kids Mart.

Ivana’s parents had a greenhouse when she was young and as she grew older, she enjoyed being outdoors raising many types of flowers. She was an avid reader of murder mysteries, often reading a book in one or two days! She enjoyed working puzzles and sewing, especially small decorative trash bags for your car, which she sold at many craft shows around the area.

Ivana will be remembered for her baked cookies and pies and her love for all things Christmas. She loved Christmas and always had a tree in every room of the house. Ivana’s family and friends would describe her as a loving, strong, independent woman with a great sense of humor, traits they will treasure in their hearts forever.

Those surviving Ivana include her daughter, Robin M. (Jose) Zapata, son, Stuart A. Hall, grandchildren, Tomas, Nichole, Miranda, and Alicia, great grandchildren, Makayla, Cadence, Riley, Brendan, Brayden, Brielle, Dominick, Serenity, and Zachary, and sister, Ann E. (John) Buckbee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan & Marie, stepmother, Doris, brothers, Bruce, Philip, and Richard Montrie, and sister Patricia Timbers.

There are no services scheduled, and cremation has taken place with the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa, Ohio.
