Iva J. Williams, 53, of Genoa, Ohio, died suddenly, Monday, May 8, 2017, at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. She was born in Escanaba, Michigan, on October 30, 1963, to Harold W. and Helen J. (Bailey) Dickerson; and on April 14, 1989, in Toledo, Ohio, she married James R. Williams. Iva had worked for ThyssenKrupp Materials NA in Toledo for the past 10 years, retiring only recently due to her health. Growing up in the Upper Peninsula, she loved being outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing or camping. She and her husband loved to take long motorcycle trips, especially out west to take in the true beauty of nature. Iva was a movie buff, who enjoyed classic and suspense movies in her free time. Iva is survived by her husband, James, daughter, Amber Williams, step-children, James, Danalle and Diana Williams, siblings, Harold (Linda) Dickerson, David Dickerson, Sherry Valiquette, Marie Ulatowski, Michael (Cindy) Dickerson and Laura Mayrand, sister-in-law, Mary Dickerson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Richard “Ricky” Dickerson, Amy Bohatkiewicz and Terry Dickerson. Visitation for Iva will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH 43430. The family suggests memorials for Iva to be directed to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 313 N. Main St., Genoa, OH 43430.
