Isabelle Heinlin, age 85 years, of Maumee, died December 15, 2011 at The Manor at Perrysburg. Mrs. Heinlin was born February 19, 1926, in Continental, Ohio, to Frank and Mary Lascsik Abraham. She was a 1944 graduate of Gibsonburg High School. After graduation, Mrs. Heinlin moved to Toledo where she worked at Willys-Overland making munitions during WWII. After the war, Mrs. Heinlin began her business career as a teller at The Home Buildings and Savings Company in Toledo until she began raising a family in 1949. She married Paul Heinlin on October 16, 1948, in Gibsonburg, Ohio. Mrs. Heinlin was the vice-president, as well as the office manager, of Heinlin Packaging Service, Inc., where her husband designed and built packaging machinery since the companys founding in 1958 until her retirement in 1988. She is survived by her devoted children: daughters, Paulette Fitzpatrick, Annette Heinlin, and Linette Heinlin; sons, John Constance Heinlin and Robert Heinlin; grandchildren: Brian Lisa Heinlin, Paul Heinlin, and Sean Fitzpatrick; great-grandsons: Tyler and Noah Heinlin. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Paul J. Heinlin, parents, and siblings Margaret Wilhelm, Mary Anne Sharp, Elizabeth Wright, Frank Abraham, Jr., and William Abraham. Isabelle was a superb cook and baker, and she loved gardening, antiques, and fishing. She was quite the fisherwoman in the family, usually catching the biggest or the most or sometimes both! on a fishing trip. She even caught an 835-pound blue-fin tuna off the coast of Prince Edward Island in 1972, which was 51 pounds shy of the womens world record at that time. But most of all, Isabelle was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Isabelle was always there for her family to lend a hand, to listen, to guide. No request nor sacrifice seemed too much for her to fulfill with grace, humor, and love. A positive thinker and compassionate, Isabelle was also the epitome of kindness, warmth, and strength. Her wisdom and sense of humor will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and her many relatives. Family and friends may visit the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Monday December 19, 2011 from 3-8 pm.
