Isabel “Inky” Maccariella July, 1937-October, 2021 Isabel, known to her friends as “Inky,” 84, of Perrysburg, OH went home to Jesus on Saturday, October 9, 2021. She was born in Camden, New Jersey to William Kenneth and Frances (Schools) McNeil. She lived in South Jersey and later moved to the Toledo, Ohio area with her family. Inky was loved by all who had the pleasure to know her. She loved to tell jokes and have people laughing with her at her stories. She loved visiting the Jersey Shore and dancing to hits of the 50-60s. She was also an avid fan of opera singer Luciano Pavarotti. Inky enjoyed great times with her lifelong friends Nina Madden and Genny Bedard-Plumb. Inky was a homemaker but did work briefly with her late husband in his business, New Image Doors. Inky loved astronomy and viewing the stars through her telescope. She could point out all the constellations and the stories behind them. Her husband had a star named after her through Star Registration Systems International, Inc. Inky was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Maccariella, and her daughter, Cindy Flores. She is survived by her brother David McNeil, daughter, Patricia Maccariella-Hafey (Brad), son Michael Maccariella (Andrea), son in law Armando Flores, grandchildren, Ashley Flores, Aaron Flores, Logan Maccariella, Megan Maccariella, and four great-grandchildren (Aliyana, Anakin, Aaliyah and Angelo). Per her wishes, a private celebration of her life will be held. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Contributions may be made in Inky’s name to The Wood County Committee on Aging. The family appreciates all the volunteers at this agency and what they do for our senior members of the community.
