Iris R. Long

Iris R. Long, 92, of Oak Harbor, died Sunday, November 8, 2015, at H.B. Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. Iris was born May 24, 1923, in Oak Harbor, Ohio, to Herman and Esther (Winnie) Ringle. On August 14, 1965, in Oak Harbor she married Elmer Long and he preceded her in death in 1979. Iris worked as a supervisor for Ayling Reichert Co. and retired in 1983. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially her favorite driver, Carl Edwards, and the Cleveland Browns. Iris is survived by her son, Harmon Skip (Barbara) Neatfeld, daughters, Mickey Elliott and Robin Glass, all of Oak Harbor, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and sister, Geraldine Balduf of Oak Harbor. Her parents, husband, daughter, Patricia Neatfeld, and son, Paul Neatfeld, preceded her in death. There will be a Celebration of Life for Iris at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line Rd, Sandusky, OH 44870; or Mid-County EMS, 222 Washington St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory of Oak Harbor has assisted the family with arrangements.
