Irene Z. Wischmeier

Irene Z. Wischmeier age 96 of Holland, OH passed away on Friday March 4th, 2011 at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center. Irene was born in Sargent, Nebraska on November 16, 1914 to Don R. and Mabel Wakeman Leech. Irene graduated from Nebraska State University with a Bachelor in Arts. She taught Home economics in Blairsburg, IA and in Lexington, NE. Irene enjoyed spending time with her family, meeting new people, traveling and reading. She also enjoyed visiting missions around the world She is survived by her children, Stephen Sharon Wischmeier, Suzanna Wells and Don Shirley Wischmeier; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; sister, Genevieve Clark. In addition to her parents Irene was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years Ac Chester Wischmeier. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 10:15 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Maumee United Methodist Church, 405 Sackett Street, Maumee, OH.
