Irene E. Schroeder

Irene Schroeder, age 81 of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Mercy Perrysburg. She was born on October 13, 1941, in Rossford, Ohio to Martin and Mary (Durish) Pollick. She graduated from Rossford High School and attended Beauty School after.

In 1963 she married Thomas Schroeder and together they raised four children.

Irene enjoyed camping with her family and friends on the weekends and traveling to Florida during the winter. She also loved baking and sharing her delicious desserts. She loved playing bunco, bingo, and working on 300-piece puzzles. She cherished phone calls and visits from family and friends. Most of all she loved spending time with her three grandchildren.

Irene moved to Abundant Life in April of 2018 and then to Manor of Perrysburg in April of 2022 where she made many wonderful friendships. Special thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Martin Krueck for your time and dedication and years of grief support to Irene after Tom’s passing.

Irene is survived by her children, Jennifer Smith, Lisa (Paul) Zabick, Martin (Michelle) Schroeder, and Thomas Schroeder; grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Rachel Zabick, and Hailey (Adam) Hill and great-grandchild, Walker Hill. Also surviving are her sister-in-laws, Doris (Leroy) Wertz and Doris Romanco. She was preceded in death by her parents; Martin and Mary Pollick; husband, Thomas Schroeder; brothers, Ralph Romanco and Robert Pollick and sister-in-law, Janet Pollick.

Family and Friends may visit at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road Rossford Ohio on February 4, 2023 for one-hour viewing from 10-11am following will be a Funeral mass. Interment will be private at Restlawn Memorial Park. The family suggests that contributions in Irene’s memory be directed to All Saints Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
