Ione Jean Olson

Ione Jean Olson, age 86, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born on July 30, 1926 to Adolph and Alta Thoreson Nelsen in Soldier, Iowa. Ione was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Maumee. She loved spending time with her family at the lake and especially enjoyed fishing with her husband, Wilbur. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Ione is survived by her son, Gary W. Kelly; daughters, Twila J. Roger Pugh; Sheryl C. Jerry Gray; Anita J. Zimmerman and Teresa L. Chuck Girardot; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Aimsel and John Darlene; sisters, Annette Richard Maahs and Gloria Lee. In addition to her parents, Ione was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur; grandchildren, Cary Pugh and Mylette McAlees Simon; brother, Clarion and sister, Yvonne. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 3pm until 8pm where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Ft. Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 112 E.
