Iona May Kopp

Iona May Kopp, age 85, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, August 22, 2024. She was born on November 10, 1938, to Edward and Ruth Aldrich of Helena, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Kopp of Rossford, Ohio, daughter, Deborah Lynn Shufeldt, brothers, Jack and Ben Aldrich, and sisters, Dorothy Smith and Lola Null.

Iona is survived by her children, Donald (Roxanne) Kopp, Jackie (Jay) Kopp, John Harlow, and Kathy Kopp, 11 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Fred Aldrich, and sisters, Lillie Robinson, Lulabell Lash, Irene Chio, Bonnie Ashley, and Anna Rose Robinson.

Iona enjoyed going to auctions with her sister, Bonnie. She also loved collecting Mickey Mouse items and playing cards.

Friends and family may be received from 2:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 30, 2024, in the funeral chapel. Interment at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery will follow the funeral ceremony. For those wishing to make a memorial donation in Iona’s honor, the family suggests the American Stroke Association.
