Ima Jean Sybert, 73, of Walbridge, formerly of Genoa, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born May 3, 1936, in Boaz, Alabama, to Raymond and Sadie Clayton Powell. On October 19, 1957, in Angola, Indiana, she married Delbert A. Sybert, who preceded her in death June 23, 2004. Ima Jean was a homemaker and a member of Genoa Baptist Church. Many years ago she had worked as a waitress at the former Whitehouse and Blue Moon in Genoa. She enjoyed being a homemaker, working with her flowers, and babysitting. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie R. Terrance Osberger of Walbridge, grandchildren, Kyle Bedford and Vincent Osberger; sisters, Vivian Townson, Dean Duckett, Sue Gregory and Ruth Aaron Cooper, all of Alabama; brothers, Bill Ellie Powell of Texas, Willie Margaret Powell of Alabama, and Larry Karen Powell of Gibsonburg. Ima Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Kendra Bedford, sister, Othalua Naler, brother, Sylvester Powell, and infant sisters, Sadie Pearl and Dorothy Jo. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2010, in the funeral home with burial to follow in Clay Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials for Ima Jean may be directed to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551, or the Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist. #3, Genoa.
