Ida Belle J. (Riker) Gross, age 95, passed away at Sunset Village, Sylvania, Ohio on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Ida was born on Feb. 26, 1926 in Toledo to Walter and Helen (Wilkins) Riker. She attended Whitmer High School. After high school, she worked at the Dixie China Co., Monroe, MI, then attended and graduated from Beauty School in Toledo, Ohio. Ida owned and operated Point Place Salon of Beauty for many years until she semi-retired and worked from her home. Ida married Harold A. Gross on May 27, 1950. They spent many wonderful years together, traveling the country in their RV and took many motorcycle trips including one where Ida rode in a sidecar from Michigan to California and back. They resided in Temperance, MI, and following retirement, also spent several years living in Cape Coral, Florida. Thru her work and travels, Ida made many long-lasting friendships. Family, friends, and her beloved pets, were most important to her. She was also very talented in crafts, painting and loved to decorate. Ida is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; brothers, LD Riker and Floyd Riker; sisters, Doris Spalding and Fern Navarre. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
