Hulon J.C. Dykes

Hulon J.C. Dykes, 93, of Walbridge, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Orchard Villa in Oregon, OH. He was born in Zavalla, Texas to John C. and Annie L. (Havard) Dykes on August 29, 1922. Hulon served in the United States Army in WWII and was part of the American Legion Post #240 in Custar, Ohio. He was married to Virginia (Beroske) Dykes who preceded him in death. He was a welder, employed by Chicago Bridge & Iron until he retired. Hulon is survived by his son, John C. (Jacquelyn) Dykes of Morgan City, LA; nephew, John D. Dykes of Lufkin, TX; grandchildren Jeremy & Taryn Dykes, Dereck Sealy, Lance & Brock Rollins; great-grandchildren Paityn, Jett, Kylee, Riley, Kade & Hayden. Friends Hank and Norma Fleischmann, Labib Hajar ; and many other friends. Along with his wife, Hulon was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Annie Lou Dykes; a brother Hubert Dykes & sisters Willie Maud, Barbara & Laura Nell. The family wants to thank the doctors, nurses & staff of Orchard Villa Nursing Home; Hospice of Northwest Ohio & the Visiting Angels for their care. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Hulon’s name may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
