Huldah E. Cook

Huldah Euphema Cookie Cook , of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009. She was affectionately known by family, friends, and co-workers as Cookie. She was born March 15, 1928, the daughter of the late Ray and Jewell Beaver in Gallia County, Ohio. Cookie married Melvin Cook on July 30, 1947, and he preceded her in death. Cookie enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She was a lifetime member of the Womens Auxiliary of the Port Clinton Moose Club. Cookie worked for 30 years at Underwoods Restaurant. Cookie is survived by her children, Kay Calvin Wadsworth, Ronnie Joann Cook both of Oak Harbor, Sherlene Chester Chaffin, Jill Bob Priddy both of Port Clinton, Viola Paul Brill of Horsehead, NY, Lonnie Sharon Cook of Jacksonville, FL, and John Dawn Cook of Crestline, OH, brothers, Lewie Beaver of Oak Hill , OH, Merrill Judy Beaver of Henderson, TN, and sister Beatrice Horace Peek of Toney, AL, 24 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and special companion Bill Powers. Cookie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Delma Fern, son, Michael Cook, step-son, Melvin Manny Cook, and brothers Carl and Leon Ed Beaver. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Clint Hayslet at 12:00PM Wednesday December 30, 2009 in the funeral home with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in memory of Cookie to the Northcoast Cancer Center, 417 Quarry Lakes Dr., Sandusky, OH. 44870.
