Hubert M. Lontz, Sr.

Hubert M. Lontz, Sr., 81, of Perrysburg, OH passed away on, Monday, November 14, 2016, in his home. Hubert was born April 9, 1935 in McKees Rocks, PA to Merrill L. and Mildred (Severn) Lontz. He was married in Winchester, VA on February 14, 1955 to Dorothy A. Schaffer. Hubert worked for 42 years as a chemical engineer with Owens-Illinois, retiring in 2000. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he also enjoyed collecting stamps, playing golf and listening to symphonic music, and he liked to read in order to pursue his deep-rooted love of knowledge. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Nancy L. Rogers, of Perrysburg, OH, Hubert M. (Tracy) Lontz, Jr. of Beaufort, SC, Scott A. (Norma) Lontz of Vienna, WV ; grandchildren, Nikole (Jonathan) Sullivan and Hubert M. Lontz, III; great-grandchildren, Sloane, Scout and Tash Sullivan; sister, Naomi (Paul) Magee; sister-in-law, Corrinne Schaffer; and niece, Sharon Schaffer. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tiffany Moore-Inderbitzin and son-in-law, Rick Rogers. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Monday, November 21, 2016, at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 with burial in Fort Meigs Cemetery.
